Elizabeth Moore is a hopeless romantic, a huge fan of lava cakes, and thinks that men should be the ones to ask a woman out.
Her life gets thrown upside down when HR transfers her to the neurology clinic to fill in for a medical secretary. As if that isn't bad enough, Elizabeth gets rejected after breaking her own rules and asking a man out on a date.
The atmosphere in the doctor's office couldn't be more tense when the man who rejected her turns out to be Elizabeth's new boss, Dr. Charles Edwards.
As she learns the ins and outs of her new job, Dr. Edwards seems mainly concerned about pointing out her mistakes. His suggestion to teach her the old-fashioned way sounds more than exciting but discipline isn't the only thing he's handing out.
When Dr. Edwards only has eyes for the keynote speaker of the Neurology Symposium, Elizabeth finds a way to get back at him.
